Hamlet Solitaire

Lo! Gather round, dear players, and heed the tale of Hamlet Solitaire, a game where skill and earnest contemplation are thine only companions. The game beginneth with but a single deck of cards, dealt unto seven tableau piles, each bestowed with an increasing count—much like the growing tension in a tragic play. The first pile beareth one card, the second, two, and so on until the seventh. Only the topmost card revealeth its face, whilst the rest lie in shadow, hidden, like secrets awaiting their time to emerge.

The noble objective, gentle player, is to move each card to the four foundation piles, building upward by suit from Ace to King, that all may find their rightful place. The tableau piles may be arranged in descending order, alternating in color, as though mirroring the intricate dance of fate and consequence. When a pile stands empty, a King alone may claim it, thereby bringing new possibilities to thy endeavor. And should thou find thyself with no path ahead, draw forth a card from the stockpile—yet bear in mind, every choice hath weight, and each move, like Hamlet’s soliloquy, requireth careful deliberation. Triumph shall be thine, shouldst thou master both fortune and fate, and bend them to thine will.
